What is the NSDUH Follow-up Study?
The NSDUH Follow-up Study is a virtual interview (video or phone) that asks questions about mental health. To be eligible for this study, you must have been randomly selected for, and participated in, the National Survey on Drug Use and Health. At the end of that interview, you would have been notified of your selection for the NSDUH Follow-up Study and offered $30 to participate in this interview.
The NSDUH Follow-up Study takes about 60 minutes to complete. After being selected, your participation is voluntary, and you can refuse to answer any questions. If you decide to participate, a specially-trained interviewer will ask you questions using a laptop computer and for permission to record the interview to ensure the interview was properly administered. You can still be interviewed even if you do not allow the interview to be recorded. Your interview recording may be used for quality or training purposes.
