Thank you for visiting the NSDUH Follow-up Study website. Your participation in this study is very important and we appreciate your interest.
If you have been selected to participate in this follow-up study based on your answers to the main NSDUH interview. Your participation is voluntary, and you can refuse to answer any questions. Even if you decide to start the interview, you may change your mind and stop at any time. If you decide to stop the interview before finishing it, let the interviewer know. The only alternative is to not participate in the study. If you decide not to take part in, or stop, the interview, there will not be any penalty, and you will not lose any benefits or rights you would normally receive.
You can schedule the interview for a date and time that’s convenient for you by using the process outlined on the Schedule Appointment page. You do not need any computer experience to participate. After scheduling your interview, an interviewer will contact you to confirm the appointment and provide a Zoom meeting invitation – the interview can be completed by logging into the meeting through a computer, calling into the provided meeting line, or having the interviewer call you from the meeting directly.
